Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the
Adam Clayton Powell, IV Health Clinic

October 15, 2007

NEW YORK CITY (Monday – October 15, 2007) Harlem East Life Plan (HELP) is proud to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 11:00am on Wednesday, October 17th at 11:00am for the Adam Clayton Powell, IV Health Clinic. The clinic is located at 2367 Second Avenue in East Harlem and offers help to those affected by a loved one’s substance abuse behavior, as well as treatment and medical care for those in need. HELP in conjunction with New York State Assemblyman Adam Clayton Powell, IV, is responding to the individuals and families impacted by the use of alcohol and drugs.

Harlem East Life Plan has delivered essentially needed substance abuse treatment in “El Barrio” since 1974. We relocated to our current site, recognized as a state-of-the-art multi-faceted outpatient recovery center, with community support in 1998 in order to provide addiction programs including medication assisted treatment services, intensive individualized and group counseling, and individual psychotherapy; all supported by an array of specialized medical services for residents in the diverse neighborhoods of Northern Manhattan.
